I noticed something a week ago. Actually I noticed it a while ago but could not place what was wrong with the picture. Living in California, I have seen probably hundreds if not thousands of Barack Obama signs with his image in red, white and blue along with words like hope, change, or progress. What hadn't occurred to me originally was that this is new to American politics. I have been voting since 1984 and aware of elections since 1980. I could not recall a single campaign where the candidate's image was used in this way on posters, bumper stickers, signs, and t shirts

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives2/2008/10/021681.php). Not in this country. You really had to go back in time to Stalinist Soviet Union (parodied as Big Brother by Orwell in 1984) or Chairman Mao, or Fidel. It is very common in dictatorships of the third world.

Once back in power, President Obama will likely reimpose the "Fairness Doctrine." This is something he can do with the stroke of a pen. This will effectively mean the end of talk radio and coupled with an attempt by Democrats to regulate content on the internet, it will mean shutdown of dissent.
