I took the kids to Candy Cane Lane again last night. For those who haven't read my earlier post, Candy Cane Lane is neighborhood in Woodland Hills California where many of the houses are decorated for Christmas. Me and a few dozen other cars made the slow crawl down the street looking at houses, pointing out Santa, Rudolph and Elmo. The kids loved it and although I shattered their bedtimes with the trip, it was worth it. Tonight we are going to try a neighborhood in Pasadena. Here are some pictures :

UPDATE: Last night we went to the Festival of Lights by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. There we were amazed by the spectacle of lights, lights for as far as the eye could see along the frontage road leading into the park. Tail lights mainly. It has been estimated that fully 10 % of the greenhouse gasses are produced by automobiles waiting in line to get in or out of the Festival of Lights. This was the last weekend of pedestrian only viewing :
