Senator Feinstein introduced Barack Obama and not Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid. I wonder if this means something or anything at all. Also, I thought Rick Warren handled the prayer very well. As a Christian he needed to pray in Jesus' name. This as Christians is the source of our authority to address the Father. There are many in our country who are not Christians who may have been offended by an overtly Christian prayer. It wasn't but is certainly was a Judeo-Christian prayer. He did ask in Jesus' name but did so explaining that Jesus was the one who changed his life. I am sure militant secularists and athiests (often with some overlap) will be upset but most everyone else were probably pleased. I was too.
