Thoughts on the President's Speech

Good speech. Short on details. Pretty vague.  Nice platitudes.  Good references to history.  Delivered well. About 20 minutes, not too long, or too short.  No tingling running up my leg. Might be the pants I am wearing or because I heard on the radio and didn't get the full effect.  I did have a moment of sympathy with him as he flubbed the oath.  I blew my vows at my wedding so I can sympathize with his nervousness.  In my defense, the minister had a strong Canadian accent which meant everything sounded like a question. This meant there was a long pause after the last vow before I said, "I will." Everyone laughed.  I am sure the President had a moment where he was saying to himself, "Holy cow, I am the President, I better not screw this up."  His moments of humanity make him more endearing to me.  I am not into the Messiah stuff. Got one already. Good luck and God Bless Mr. President.

UPDATE: It is a few hours later and I am hungry again and can't remember anything he said beyond stuff like I hope we change for the future.  Here is a recap in case you missed it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5nu5GRDzog

UPDATE UPDATE: Apparently Chief Justice Roberts blew the line and the President was waiting for him to catch up.  My story about my wedding is still true.
