I haven't been blogging much because life and a mild, sometimes severe addiction to twitter has interfered. I would like to encourage everyone and everyone you know to get involved in the TeaTaxDay movement. There are tea parties springing up all over the nation partially inspired by Rick Santelli
http://www.reteaparty.com/ and his righteous rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on CNBC Live. The movement has grown like wildfire on the grassroots level through Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. The point is to get involved. Many who were involved in the civil rights movement of the sixties were glad they marched and were involved. This is our moment. Our country is being destroyed at a rapid pace and if not stopped now, it will be too late. The country that we love and were given by our parents, grandparents and all the way back to the Founding Fathers, will be gone. The last best hope for mankind will surely vanish. Sure there may be a geographical USA but it's essential character of a nation of free people will be gone. Huge budget deficits and a coming explosion of entitlements including health care will turn the citizenry into a nation of dependents and slaves. To quote Mark Steyn
http://www.steynonline.com/ it redefines the relationship between the citizen and government to one of junkie and pusher. We are the richest, greatest nation on Earth for a reason. We are about to destroy what is great about our nation.
Please get involved. Two big days are next week, April 15th and July 4th. If you live in California you can find out about TeaParties here :
http://taxdayteaparty.com/teaparty/california/ . Nationwide you can check here :
http://www.teapartyday.com/ . There are other sites that you can find on google and other search engines. Facebook and twitter have tons of organizing groups as well. I am going to Santa Monica in the afternoon and Van Nuys in the evening of the 15th. Maybe I'll see you there.
Please feel free to forward this to anyone you know that may want to join in.
Susan: It looks like the closest to you is in El Segundo.
